aerobatics team from India will return to UAE after sixteen years to take part in Dubai Air Show

Sixteen years in the wake of participating in the Al Ain Grand Prix in 2005, a celebrated aerobatics team from India will get back to the UAE, this opportunity to partake in the Dubai Air Show one week from now.

The team is called Sarang, which implies multi-coloured in Hindi, since its aerial moves produce bright streaks afterward on the skies. At the Dubai Air Show, Sarang will be joined by the Suryakiran and Tejas aerobatics teams.

Suryakiran implies beams of daylight and Tejas in Hindi means lofty or vivacious. The teams showed up in the UAE yesterday and are presently planning for the show, the Indian government’s Press Information Bureau said.

“The Indian Air Force (IAF) has been welcomed by the government of UAE to participate in the Dubai Air Show and perform alongside probably the best aerobatics and display teams on the world, including the Saudi Hawks, Russian Knights and the UAE’s Al Fursan,” the Bureau said. “Moreover, the IAF’s Light Combat Aircraft Tejas will be important for the aerobatics and static displays during the show.”

The Dubai Air Show will be the main event for the Suryakirans and the Tejas to display their aerial manoeuvres in the UAE.
