Dubai Council set up to outline and deliver the emirate’s future development

His Highness Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has given a law setting up the Dubai Council to layout and convey the emirate’s future improvement agenda.

Sheik Mohammed focused on that the Government of Dubai will proceed to continually advance to stay up with global turns of events and speed up growth.

The new council will have a lawful profile and the legitimate limit needed to attempt the demonstrations and demeanors that guarantee the accomplishment of its goals,which revolve around defining the features and future visions of the emirate.

The Council will be chaired by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, with Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as deputies.

Members of the council will include Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Matar Mohammed Al Tayer, Lt Gen Talal Humaid Belhoul, Abdullah Mohammed Al Basti, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, and Lt Gen Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri.

The Dubai Council means to detail and foster the emirate’s future development agenda to help its global seriousness and upgrade its leadership and attractiveness, by launching major qualitative projects and transformational initiatives.

As indicated by the law, a commissioner-general will be endowed with administering the advancement track, which will incorporate a few elements. He will be designated by a decision by the chairman.

The law stipulates that the Executive Office shall assume the duties of the General Secretariat and provide the necessary support to the Council and assist it in performing its duties, including administrative and technical support, preparing decisions and recommendations, and conducting research.

The Executive Office chairman or whomever he assigns will expect the obligations of the Secretary-General of the Dubai Council, given that it falls inside his powers to manage the overall secretariat’s execution of its undertakings shared with help the Council and empower it to accomplish its objectives, the report said.
