Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s (Dewa) Space-D Program is planning to launch DewaSat-1 nanosatellite on Thursday, January 13.
The Space-D Program was launched by His Highness Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, V P and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in January 2021.
As indicated by the arrangement, DewaSat-1 will be launched by SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director and CEO of Dewa, will go to the launch alongside authorities from Dewa, SpaceX, and NanoAvionics.
The Space-D drive intends to fabricate Dewa’s abilities and train Emirati experts to utilize space advancements to upgrade its electricity and water networks.
The program will exploit Fourth Industrial Revolution innovations like Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and blockchain to exchange data with the assistance of satellite correspondences and earth perception advances.
