New Year’s weather in Dubai; Heavy rains lashed many areas

Must read

Weighty rainfall lashed a few parts of the UAE and occupants woke up on the last day of 2021 to some sloppy puddles and some traffic blockages.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) got the ball rolling to reestablish smooth traffic stream in the Emirate.

Number of areas and key expressways in Dubai experienced waterlogging following the storm on Friday and work is in progress to eliminate water gatherings.

The crisis groups from Dubai Municipality and RTA are pumping out water from overflowed streets and opening up the tempest water drainage system.

The RTA took to Twitter and expressed: “in a joint effort with Dubai Municipality, RTA’s crisis group is managing the downpour impacts at some significant areas like Sheik Mohammed Bin Zayed Rd., Ras Al Khor Rd., Al Khawaneej St., and the work is in progress to reestablish smooth traffic stream.”

The district is utilizing sewage big haulers to siphon water from low regions.

Drivers in the Emirate are reminded to be cautious, to follow all traffic signs, and hold fast to as far as possible during blustery climate.

The Dubai Police have asked drivers to adhere to their path and drive cautiously during agitated climate conditions.
